Mr. Brown is President of Tailwind Technologies, a position he has held since 2008. Tailwind Technologies is the holding company for Hartzell Propeller and Hartzell Engine Technologies, aerospace and general aviation-related manufacturing businesses. From 1993 to 2007, Mr. Brown worked for Hartzell Propeller, Inc., in various capacities, including operations supervisor and director of the Hartzell Service Center, vice president of parts and service, and co-president. He holds a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. He also received a law degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif.
Mr. Brown has been an active participant in the community. He has served as a board member and president of The Miami Valley School and The Piqua Community Foundation. He has also served as a board member of The Miami County YMCA, Mainstreet Piqua, The Overfield Early Childhood Program and Daybreak Dayton.
