Business Development Associate
Position Overview
CW Industrial Partners is seeking a results-oriented Business Development Associate with a demonstrated record of high-volume outbound activity, full-cycle deal management, and consistent pipeline generation. The Associate will lead proprietary sourcing efforts, cultivate relationships with founders and intermediaries, and support transactions from introduction through close. As the function matures, responsibilities will expand to include portfolio company engagement and investor relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-volume proprietary outreach via telephone, email, and LinkedIn to generate a qualified and consistent deal pipeline.
- Secure introductory meetings with founders and business owners; maintain structured engagement with brokers, advisors, and intermediaries.
- Represent the organization at industry tradeshows and association events, converting attendance into actionable leads.
- Provide active support across the M&A lifecycle.
- Opportunity to grow into a leadership role including BD and investor relations responsibilities.
Performance Expectations
The Associate will be held to defined targets across outreach volume, founder meeting frequency, intermediary engagement, event participation, and deal support activity.
The Associate will own, maintain and update the CRM database with rigorous accuracy and consistency, ensuring all relationships, pipeline activity, and outreach history are comprehensively documented.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a quota-carrying deal-sourcing role with a verifiable outbound track record.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the full deal or sales cycle through to close; comfort engaging founders, C-suite executives, and financial intermediaries.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and outbound sequencing tools; prior exposure to M&A, or intermediary networks preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field preferred.
